The quality of internal audit reporting is often significantly below par. The number of times I’ve been confronted with reports that were too long, too convoluted, trying to prove to the reader the auditor had done a lot of work … are impossible to count. While the internal auditor ideally writes something that is digestible for an audit comité member and comprehensive for the auditee and his or her management.
I’m therefore sharing a part of a course I created just to address these issues. It’s called internal audit reporting, it is in Dutch, but if this is something you as an auditor are struggling with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
